Our mission is to train players of all ages and skill levels. To hear that one of our players has made their grade school, junior high or high school team is truly fulfilling for our staff. In addition, we take a great deal of pride when players we’ve coached continue their careers on the collegiate or professional level. This is a list of players that have played at the Academy and have continued to pursue their "Field of Dreams" at the next level.

About Brad Groleau

McKendree University freshman outfielder Brad Groleau (Peru, IL/St. Bede Academy) earned second-team All-Conference honors from the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Groleau was a mainstay in the Bearcats' lineup for the final 34 games of the season, starting 33 of those contests in left field. He led with a .344 batting average, three home runs and 23 runs batted in. Groleau also tied for the team lead with five stolen bases and tied for second in hits with 43. He was the only McKendree player this season to have both a slugging percentage (.472) and on-base percentage (.401).

In conference play, Groleau hit a team-best .364, with all three of his round-trippers coming against GLVC opponents. He drove in 20 runs in conference games and posted a .505 slugging percentage.

Groleau becomes the fourth McKendree baseball player to receive All-GLVC honors since the Bearcats joined the league for the 2013 season. Kyle Rutledge (Bloomington, IL/Normal) and Rob Beatty grabbed second-team All-Conference accolades in that 2013 campaign, while Steven Todoschuk (Stoney Creek, Ontario, Canada/Saltfleet) was a first-team All-GLVC honoree last year.

Prior to McKendree University, Brad Groleau won White Sox Summer Camp Skills Competition FIVE years! Brad won as an 8 year old in 2003, won when he was age 9, 10, 12, and 13 years old. Groleau finished second as an 11 year old. Recently Groleau took Second-Team All- GLVC Honors for McKendree.
