Chicago Bulls/Sox Academy

The White Sox Defense Club will focus on the essentials of throwing and catching the baseball as well as fielding groundballs and fly balls. To be a complete player, you must learn to defend. This class is exactly what you need to earn that starting position at higher levels of baseball.
Start Date: June 10th & June 11th (Ages 5-8)

The White Sox Offense Club will cover all aspects of being a threat both in the batter’s box and on the bases. This club will cover the finer points of hitting to all fields, drag and push bunts, stealing bases as well as taking an extra base. The hitting portion will focus on plate coverage and stance, knowing when and how to hit behind a runner, stepping into a hitting position, hand path and lower body mechanics.
Start Dates: June 10th & June 11th (Ages 5-8)

Who says only the kids can have fun? This camp will give you and your child the chance to experience playing on a Major League field together! You pick the TWO ballplayers in your family: (father-son, mother-daughter, uncle-nephew, etc.). Learn the pros tips for hitting, fielding and pitching.

If you want to be the best, you’ve got to train with the best! For 19 years the Chicago White Sox have brought quality baseball instruction to children throughout Chicagoland! Since 1994, more than 50,000 youth baseball players have attended one of our White Sox summer camps to focus on essential individual baseball skills. Professional coaches from the White Sox organization have programs designed for boys and girls from ages 5 – 12 at every ability level.
Start Dates: July 8th (Ages 5-11) & August 5th (Ages 5-12)

Our On-Field Camp gives kids an opportunity to fulfill their dream of playing on a Major League Field the same way the pros do! This camp gives each player the opportunity to field ground balls like Alexei Ramirez, fly balls like Dayan Viciedo, warm-up in the bullpen like Chirs Sale and take live batting practice on the field like Paul Konerko. Experience areas of the ballpark most fans never get to see! During the workout, see part of US Cellular not open to the public. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity!

This class will detail the absolutes of hitting and pitching as taught to the White Sox players by the White Sox coaches. If you are truly serious about becoming the best player you can be…this is the place for you. Our Pitching Clubs will cover grips, arm action, balance points, and pitching from the wind up and stretch. Our Hitting Clubs will focus on plate coverage and stance, striding into a hitting position, swing plane/hand path, footwork and balance.

This week long, all day camp gives the two-sport athlete the ability to improve their offensive and defensive game in both basketball and baseball before heading back to school. 6 hours a day... quality instruction in two sports... this truly is a one-of-a-kind camp! Children will be divided by age and ability level. During the camp each player will compete in the Bulls Skills Competition and the White Sox Skills Competition. At the end of the summer, the top scores from all of the summer camps will advance to the finals on the floor at the United Center and/or U.S. Cellular Field.
